Pyn • Onboarding

Congratulations on your new hire! Here’s what to do next.

Your candidate has signed their offer! Here’s what you can do now to welcome them and set them up for success.

  • Send your new hire a personal welcome email (5 minutes)
  • Create a 60-day plan for your new hire (2 hours)

Send them a personal welcome email today

Onboarding begins when an employee signs their offer letter, not just on Day 1! Let them know how excited you are for them to join the team and help them feel welcomed. Here's a template you can use. Just remember to add your personal touch.

Be sure to extend an invite to any events that your new hire might be able to join prior to their hire date.

Create a 60-day plan

Creating a 60-day plan provides context and sets expectations. This helps your new hire ramp up more quickly and understand how their role fits into current projects and goals.

Prior to your new hire's start date, create a plan to help them get up to speed. Having the plan ready for them on their first day creates clarity for them and for the team.

Break down the plan into 20-day increments to allow your new hire to focus on specific areas at certain times in their onboarding journey. Download the 60-day plan template with instructions and fill it out.
