What is Rosh Hashanah?

Often referred to as the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah is a time of celebration of life, reflection on the previous year, and contemplation of changes one wants to make in the year ahead. It is celebrated through activities such as special blessings and preparing traditional foods like challah dipped in honey. To greet someone on Rosh Hashanah you can say Shana tova (Have a good year) or Chag sameach (Happy holiday).
