On this March 14th (3/14), we celebrate that most irrational of numbers - the mathematical constant 𝝅 (pi)!
Pi, often rounded to 3.14, has interested mathematicians for centuries and is used throughout STEM.
Pi Day is celebrated by NASA with special activities for adults and children, as well as the American Mathematical Society. It is an International Day of Mathematics and is also Albert Einstein’s birthday!
And fortunately, it gives us an excuse to eat foods that come in pie form: pizza pie, pot pie, lemon meringue pie, shepherd’s pie…
