Happy 4th of July! (For US employees)

The office will be closed July 4th for Independence Day. Get ready for the fireworks!

Before you go:

  • Set your out-of-office messages to let colleagues and customers know when you’ll be back online and who to contact while you’re out.
  • Remind your team if you are taking additional time off around the holiday.
  • Leave work at the office and enjoy the holiday!

About the 4th of July

The ideals of liberty, equality, and opportunity set out in 1776 in the Declaration of Independence are as meaningful when they were written as they are today.

Frederick Douglass’ speech, "What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?," was delivered at a time when slavery was still legal. He rightly pointed out that a celebration of "justice, liberty, prosperity and independence" was offensive to enslaved people who had none of those things.

Although we may have come a long way since then, we must continue the journey to strive toward those ideals of creating an inclusive and equitable society for all!
